"Cleaning Windows Safely"

FWC Accredited Training Course - Written by Window Cleaners for Window Cleaners. Accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Cleaning Windows Safely is a one-day course - no nonsense - hands on practical and theory - awarding an industry recognised qualification (as above) that can be used to win more business especially with public bodies such as local authorities and NHS Trusts - This 2-4-1course covers both the use of Water fed poles and portable ladders helping you or your organisation comply with legislative training requirements.

"Risk Assessment" Training Course IOSH Accredited

One-Day Risk Assessment Course - As an employer, whether a big business, small business or just one-person operation. Accidents and ill health can ruin lives and damage your business so assessing and managing health and safety risks is an essential part of running a business. If you cannot eliminate all risk, you are still required to reduce risk and protect people as far as 'reasonably practicable'

This one-day IOSH accredited course will:·

  • Identify any applicable legislation ·
  • Discuss what to look for ·
  • Show you how to put controls in place·
  • Show you how to draft out the risk assessments·
  • Can be used as proof of prior learning for City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 Unit 201

This course is aimed at everyone within the window and specialist cleaning industry, specifically self-employed, employees, supervisors, managers and safety officers. ·

Working Safely - Awareness Course

Federation of Window Cleaners - A basic Safety awareness course - Nationally accredited - " Safely Awareness" one-day Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) awareness programme delivered by Workplace Health and Safety Advice Centre includes sessions in the morning on accidents (prevention and reporting), legal duties for employer and employee, developing safety culture, practical risk assessment including a session on the use and completion of the risk assessment form with a lifetime accredited certificate at the end. There are lots of benefits to having a formal health & safety certificate - it not only helps win more business especially with public bodies such as local authorities and NHS Trusts where you can show your company carries out risk assessments and has health and safety aware staff but can also have a positive effect on reducing accidents and ill health The cost of this Basic course is £87.60 per head inclusive of lunch, IOSH certificate and vat·

Managing Safely Course

The IOSH "Managing Safely" course is a must for any business that is looking to develop their health and safety at work skills and knowledge and to demonstrate to potential employers that they are competent in this very important area. If you are an employer or are looking to be able to gain that very important edge when tendering for work then, this advanced IOSH course will prove particularly useful. The four day course will take place just off the M6 (Junction 10) in Willenhall, West Midlands and will commence on Tuesday 3rd February 2009 and also for the following three Tuesdays, concluding on 24th February. The all inclusive cost of the course is £200 per person, which is a real bargain compared to what most other IOSH course providers charge.
